Herein, a three-dimensional (3D)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/chemistry\/nanomaterial\">nanostructure<\/a>\u00a0with uniform NiSe<sub>2<\/sub>\/MoSe<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0Mott-Schottky\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/physics-and-astronomy\/heterojunctions\">heterojunction<\/a>\u00a0nanoneedle arrays densely grown on carbon cloth was designed and fabricated by a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/physics-and-astronomy\/hydrothermal-synthesis\">hydrothermal method<\/a>\u00a0followed by selenization treatment. In the UOR process, NiSe<sub>2<\/sub>\/MoSe<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0undergoes surface reconstruction into a Mo-NiOOH\/NiSe<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0composite structure, and Mo-doping can optimize the adsorption\/desorption of UOR intermediates. In the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/materials-science\/hydrogen-evolution\">hydrogen evolution reaction<\/a>\u00a0(HER) process, the directed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/materials-science\/electron-transfer\">electron transfer<\/a>\u00a0brought by the Mott-Schottky\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/materials-science\/heterojunction\">heterojunction<\/a>\u00a0can modulate the electronic structure and optimize the d-band center, thus promoting HER. The well-designed NiSe<sub>2<\/sub>\/MoSe<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0as a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/chemistry\/bifunctional-catalyst\">bifunctional catalyst<\/a>\u00a0for urea-assisted electrolysis can reach 10\u00a0mA\u00a0cm<sup>\u22122<\/sup>\u00a0at only 1.44\u00a0V with almost no performance degradation for 48\u00a0h.
